Lisvane IV trounced the seconds at Aberdare. Rogerstone won the toss and batted on a lovely wicket which had bounce and could have yielded a bucketful of runs.
Even though each of the top eight batsmen hit a boundary, the side was bowled out for 97, with Ben Williams top scoring with 18.
Lisvane reached their total without losing a wicket.
So no points for Rogerstone. The team is low on confidence but can still target 3 realistic victories in the weeks ahead that could keep them up. Martyn, Sib, Andy and Tom all hit the boundary with good shots, Ben can clearly make runs at this level, Owen will never get out like he did today again and Alan and Mark are reliable performers. With the ball, Tom was tidy and Jazz bowled her most aggressive spell to date. Things really can get better! The enthusiasm in the field was a huge improvement. Nothing went to hand, but lots nearly did. Come on guys, we can still do this.
